UndocuBusiness Grants

The Latino Community Fund (LCF Georgia) is excited to announce a unique effort to provide undocumented entrepreneurs with a grant investment so they can return to their commercial activity as part of an inclusive recovery strategy in Georgia.

Entrepreneurship is both a self-sufficiency and wealth building strategy for diverse communities. For undocumented immigrants, it is a necessity.

“We are excited to announce this initaitive during Immigrant Heritage Month as a way to recognize and uplift the immense contributions immigrants have made and continue to make this country, the country we chose as our home” said Maria Vinces Peck, LCF Georgia Board Chair and experienced professional in the access to capital and economic development space.

9/11, Hurricane Katrina and so many other tragedies have demonstrated that unless we are intentional about centering efforts on the most vulnerable populations; economic recovery strategies historically leave behind Black and Brown folxs, immigrants and limited English proficient communities. As an organization, we are committed to ensure that ALL communities receive investments so they can continue feeding their families and keeping a roof over their heads.

Undocumented entrepreneurs in Georgia currently do not qualify for any other state, local, nonprofit or federal loan funds or recovery efforts.

This effort is Chaired by Samantha Ramirez-Herrera, a successful self-made entrepreneur and member of the LCF Georgia board.

Entrepreneurs eligible for this $1,000 grant include those who:

• Are undocumented (including DACA) currently in commercial activity and living in Georgia
• Have annual revenues of less than $100,000
• Have family members that depend on the business revenue for monthly expenses
• Have lost revenue due to COVID-19
• Have been directly affected by the virus

You do not need to be Hispanic or Latinx to apply for this fund

Interested entrepreneurs should submit a completed application from July 1 to July 24. If eligible applicants exceed the funds available, entrepreneurs will be selected via lottery system.
